I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Täunhäuser Gate.
All those moments will be lost in time.

TENHAUSER GATE

• I was delighted to find the Taiidan beaming away at the Bentusi MS. (I noticed (with some irritation) that the Bentusi MS was using its three orange Ion Beams on a Taiidan AF but that the AF didn't mind at all. Are these the Bentusi that reduced my MS to rubble in fewer than ten seconds in Lev04 using the same Ion Beams?!?) Just take a look at their stats!
• However, if you leave the Bentusi to fry, you get GAME OVER 5:10 after the start of the level, when the Bentusi MS explodes (yeah!) and bursts all the Taiidan near it but one (E)IF (pity)
• So obviously sentiment must be put to one side and honor take the fore. Eject all your Interceptors (hopefully none will live to leave this level) and SC's. (NB: SC's are specifically targetted in this level)
• Set your heavy artillery to Evasive (so that it won't shoot what you want to salvage) and target them on the (E)AF and 4x(E)IF's
• While they're lumbering into position, set your Interceptors onto the (E)HC and 3x(E)D's
• Set all the CSp's [L] to evasive so that they do not shoot the (E)D's as they drift that way
• When the enemy frigates are dead, make sure your heavies don't move on to melting the (E)HC and (E)D's. (NB: once the cutscene is over, the Bentusi MS no longer uses its groovy orange Ion beams...)
• Be really skillful and set 3xSC's on each (E)D and 5xSC's on the (E)HC. The (E)D's tend to drift to the [L] which is convenient because it means they cannot defend each other by beaming each other's pesky SC's. It is easiest to do this when you catch the [F] (E)HC and (E)D facing away from your MS and your heavies are still beaming away beneath at the (E)Frigates
• The Bentusi emerge from hybernation once they detect that the last of their attackers has been vanquished. Unfortunately, you cannot even now attack them with Forced Attack
• Set Autolaunch on the MS and one Carrier to off. Dock all your SCr with them. Set Autolaunch to on on one Carrier and dock all your SC's with it
