Lots of 'RU's

There are a number of little programs out there that will take one of your saved game files and change the amount of RU's to a high number. Then when you load the saved game, all your ships will be where you left them, doing what you left them doing, all your enemies will be there, doing what the computer told them to do last time, but you will have heaps of money. There is not a great deal of point in doing this since in my games I always had far too much money to know what to do with it. Hint: if you are about to build some ships and do some harvesting and retire some ships; build your ships, save the game, patch the file, harvest and retire. You know it makes sense.

Unlimited RU's, three motherships, invulnerable strike craft, permanently cloaked Cap Ships
a.k.a. (L4/v\3rZ 83w4r3!!)

This cheat is a bit of a kill-joy really. I mean, why play the game if there is no chance of loosing? Why be alive if there is no chance of you dying? Seems a bit pointless to me. Nevertheless, I post it here in case there are those among you who want to try it out for a bit.

Only use this cheat when:

You are just about to hyperspace at the end of the level
You have not saved the game during the current level
You have not 'maxed out' on any ship class (ie get the message "maximum number of corvettes reached"). 'Retire' one ship if you have
You have between 2^15 and 2^16 RU's (exclusive) when you run the cheat

otherwise unpredictable results could occur. When you are ready, select your mothership and all the fighters you want to invulnerablize. Then hold down Alt and Ctrl (as though you were about to gaurd a ship) and press the Del key four times in quick succession. Then count the number of strike craft you have left (if you had maxed out on a class, you might have lost that batch.) Make sure you dock all your strike craft with the mothership and not a carrier. Hyperspace to the next level (but do not "Quick Dock") and reap the rewards of the compulsive cheater!
